Welcome, honored guests
Piper longum
Long pepper. The scientific name Piper longum belongs to the family Piperaceae probably came to Europe before black pepper (Black pepper) long ago. Classification was highly appreciated during the Roman Empire and was valued three times as high as black pepper due to the taste of pepper, spicy and sweet, very suitable for Roman dishes and appetites.
Today, very little is known and is less common. Digestion is considered a drug rather than a spice.
